Brevard, North Carolina  Known for attracting outdoor adventure and boasting of the prestigious Brevard Music Center, Brevard is home to more than 250 waterfalls, hundreds of acres of state and national forests and small-town charm.  Surrounding this small, Appalachian community is Pisgah National Forest, Gorges State Park and Looking Glass Rock where opportunities to canoe, kayak, hike or just relax await both visitors and residents.  The nearby Brevard Music Center attracts and develops some of the most promising young musical talent in the region and offers a variety of entertainment including operas, musicals, jazz and classical concerts.
